📋 Description

• Helix is a leading population genomics company that drives progress in clinical care and research. • The Senior Accountant will manage all aspects of accounting workflow including month-end close and audit support. • Responsibilities include performing month-end close accounting and accounting operations with a focus on process improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CMA a plus • Minimum 4 years experience in general accounting: cash and investments, prepaid assets, Fixed assets, accruals • Inventory management and reporting experience • Understanding of Supply Chain and Cost Accounting – preferably in a manufacturing or laboratory environment • Comfortable working with and analyzing large data sets, and summarizing results in a meaningful way for non-financial stakeholders • Successful track record of effectively interfacing with supply chain, research, and manufacturing personnel to identify, support, and execute on value-added ideas to improve processes • Proven ability to solve complex problems and influence cross functionally • Experience with designing, implementing and monitoring internal controls • Experience in analyzing and reporting causes of manufacturing variances and recommending corrective actions • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills is a must • Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders and identify meaningful trends in financial data that impact business and operational decisions • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills and related tools
