📋 Description

• Responsible for configuration, commissioning, documentation and installation verification and support work for new or relocated postal sorting and support equipment. • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. • Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. • This position may require travel. • This is a fulltime remote position (40 hours per week) and if any travel to Merrifield, VA for meetings or other events is needed, then this is paid business travel. • Travel to USPS installation sites and/or other USPS locations that need support is considered paid business travel.

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field. • 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field. • 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. • 10+ years of maintenance, support, diagnostics and configuration experience for USPS Cimplicity graphical user interface (GUI) applications and interfaces, PLC networks, PLC programming and FMPCS systems required. • Must be willing and able to travel if needed for meeting, events, and/or to USPS installation sites or other USPS locations that need support. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a USPS Sensitive Clearance. • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years. • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years.
