Description

• Acts as primary interface with customer for contractual issues. • Interacts with operational and program leadership, functional support staff, government personnel, and partners. • Ensures effective management of the overall contract through all stages of the project lifecycle. • Oversees the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts. • Develops initiatives to increase profitability and cash; establish and maintain excellent customer relations. • Review complex domestic, international, or commercial proposals for compliance with requirements of Request for Proposal. • Tracks RFP modifications, questions and answers, submits proposals to the customer and performs follow up responsibilities. • Leads, trains and develops the contracts team.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of progressive experience as a government contract professional. • Experience with varying contract types: fixed-price, cost, cost-reimbursable, time and material and incentive type contracts is required. • Proficient in leading negotiations, contract development, contract standards and language with expertise in government regulations (FAR, DFAR, Agency Supplements, etc.). • Prior experience in negotiating contracts with the United States Government is required. • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international austere environments as needed (up to 20%).
