• Job Role: Senior Accountant/ Accounting & Tax Team Lead • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM (AU Time Zone) • Who We Are: At Hunt St we help Aussie and US based companies directly hire top 5% remote talent in the Philippines & Nepal. • Who The Client Is: A wealth advisory and professional services business in Melbourne, Australia. • Role Overview: Seeking a Senior Accountant to Lead our growing accounting & tax team. • Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and train the accounting team, ensuring high standards of performance and collaboration. • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting team activities and tasks, including preparation of financial reporting, tax returns, and other compliance activities. • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and efficiency. • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making.
Requirements
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on Australian tax and superannuation fund management. • Proven track record in training and mentoring accounting staff. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a team. • High level of confidence and initiative, capable of independently running the accounting team. • Proficient in Xero and XPM - Xero Certification • Xero Payroll • Experience with BGL360 and FYI Docs
