Description

• As an Application Security Engineer, improve security posture of products and environments • Integrate and automate security tooling in CI/CD pipelines • Serve as subject matter expert for secure development and deployment • Maintain understanding of security aspects of Hypori's products • Lead automation and integration of vulnerability management tooling • Triage vulnerability and compliance testing results • Contribute to compliance strategies across cloud infrastructure • Conduct development and QA environment hardening efforts • Maintain threat models for system components • Identify security monitoring use cases • Propose updates to security documentation • Participate in ceremonies to address application security concerns

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in software engineering (with a focus on backend) • Proficient in understanding and explaining software vulnerabilities across stacks • Proficient in at least one programming language and one scripting language • Proficient in the security management of cloud infrastructure services and container-based deployments • Proficient in management of software supply chain security and software security vulnerabilities • Proficient in expressing concepts of identity & access management, applied cryptography, and network security • Proficient in expressing implementation requirements for security work in engineering-facing user stories • Common sense, with ability to articulate technical risk and solutions • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, scrum practices, and rapid prototyping • Experience in automating security and compliance processes • Experience in interpreting security and compliance frameworks and standards • Experience with application security testing tools and techniques
