📋 Description

• Manage team of estimators producing CAPEX estimates/forecasts for major Avangrid Renewable projects and review and approve CAPEX estimates/forecasts prepared by estimators. • Participate in Avangrid’s project risk management and quantification process. • Develop and maintain estimating and forecasting models for major projects. • Present project and portfolio forecasts to Avangrid Renewables senior management. • Prepare projects for Financial Investment Decision working closely with Iberdrola management. • Review proposal specifications to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. • Conduct project site visits with Avangrid Management, potential contractors and engineering firms. • Review cost reports from completed/existing projects. • Adhere to effective internal controls. • 100% telecommuting permitted. Candidates may reside and work anywhere in the U.S.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience in renewable plant construction, production, or operations; • OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, and 3 years related work experience in renewable plant construction, production, or operations. • Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: • Utilizing Python and Anaconda; • Quantitative risk analysis; • Working for an Owner/Operator organization in electrical generation; • Renewables estimating experience in utility scale wind, solar, and EPC projects; • Developing and refining work breakdown structure and cost breakdown structure; • Value engineering and alternatives analysis; • Battery storage estimating and technology. • Domestic travel required up to 25%.
