Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Biostatistics and Clinical Informatics • Deep understanding of data architecture, machine learning, or advanced analytics. • Certifications related to data engineering or cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate). • Minimum of 7 years experience in data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, data warehouse and database design, and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Hadoop, especially with a focus on data engineering and big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, etc.) • Advanced Expertise in: Programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or SQL for building robust data pipelines and performing complex queries; Data warehousing and modeling techniques, including experience with tools like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery; and Data governance and quality frameworks, ensuring the integrity of production data and addressing issues related to data quality. • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and deliver comprehensive communication strategies. • A happy and collaborative spirit, ready to laugh and have fun. • High level of emotional intelligence is a must. • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting a large healthcare corporation or healthcare government agency • Public sector experience and specifically within the Department of Veterans Affairs is preferred
