Description

β€’ Join iBusiness Funding as a Database Administrator to design, deploy and optimize database solutions. β€’ Manage and optimize databases, ensuring security, availability and performance in AWS environment. β€’ Implement scalable, highly available database solutions utilizing AWS native services (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora and Redshift). β€’ Utilize AWS tools and other 3rd party services to optimize cloud database infrastructure. β€’ Collaborate with developers and business/operations teams to select optimal database technologies based on application requirements. β€’ Define and enforce database standards, best practices, and security protocols. β€’ Perform regular database administration tasks, including backups, restores, patching, and upgrades. β€’ Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies for best performance. β€’ Diagnose and resolve complex database issues in a timely and efficient manner. β€’ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge transfer. β€’ Automate routine database management tasks utilizing scripting and AWS tools. β€’ Work closely with development teams, systems engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and optimize database usage.

Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. β€’ Experience working with large-scale data repositories like data lakes or dimensional data warehouses. β€’ In-depth understanding of cloud database design principles and best practices within AWS. β€’ Solid understand of database querying, performance tuning, replication, caching strategies, and sharding concepts. β€’ Ability to write high quality, maintainable, and robust code, often in SQL and Python. β€’ Experience managing multiple RDS Clusters on a variety of DB engines. β€’ Strong AWS DBA expertise in relational (RDS, Aurora) and/or NoSQL (DynamoDB) database technologies. β€’ 4-6 yrs AWS DBA experience required. β€’ Experience with Amazon Athena, Lake Formation, AWS Glue, AWS Data Migration Service. β€’ Experience working with software engineers on implementing ORM libraries, such as Prisma and Alembic. β€’ Extensive experience dealing with PII data abiding by industry standards and regulations, and implementing controls such as column level permissions, data-masking, and logging and monitoring. β€’ Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
