📋 Description

• Conduct insurance premium audits in the field to determine actual exposures and premium • Perform audits in the field for organizational accounts and resolve applicable disputes • Manage audits of various sizes and complexity, partnering with mentor or supervisor on complex accounts • Deliver excellent customer service for the entire audit experience • Communicate with customers, agents, and external constituencies throughout audit • Examine policyholder’s payroll records and operations • Record and summarize proper payroll and classification used to determine premium • Implement an analysis of insured’s business operations to determine appropriate classifications and exposures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in premium audit required • Associate in Premium Auditing (APA), Certified Insurance Premium Auditor (CIPA), or Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification preferred • Current driver’s license required • Must have a working knowledge of Commercial Lines policies (i.e., Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and other commercial lines coverages) as applicable • Experience working with WCRIB, NCCI, and other independent bureaus is highly desirable • Must be aware of and understand a variety of payroll and accounting systems, and the differences in Workers’ Compensation jurisdictions • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, or legal documents • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community • Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills
