Description

• The Senior Revenue Accountant has a heavy focus on revenue accounting-based SAP responsibilities and ASC 606 accounting treatment determination and application. • Experience accounting for customer contracts with multiple performance obligations fulfilled over varying durations of time is a plus. • Experience with customer contract modification accounting is preferred. • The Senior Revenue Accountant performs a variety of revenue allocation accounting models, journal entries, analysis, reporting, reconciliation and other related financial activities. • This role partners with commercial finance, marketing operations and legal to provide financial consulting, advice and support. • This position compiles and analyzes revenue accounting information for financial statements and internal reports. • You will execute revenue accounting for global marketing programs both in Microsoft Excel and RAR. • You will apply U.S. GAAP accounting expertise, esp. ASC 606 and ASC 842, to determine proper accounting for customer contract variations and modifications, and ensure RAR results are accurate. • You will drive and support revenue accounting process improvements for gathering data, accounting and reporting. • You will create and analyze revenue accounting information for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring that financial information is recorded and presented accurately. • You will develop various analyses, reports and presentations; performs ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed. • You will support development of financial models for business initiatives such as product launches, geographical expansion and proposed marketing programs. • You will monitor internal control environment. Identify gaps in controls and support development of approaches to mitigate exposure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred. • CPA license preferred. • Minimum of 5+ years of public accounting experience preferred (preferably in a Big 4 firm serving publicly-listed multi-national clients). • SAP experience preferred. • ASC 606 experience preferred. • Microsoft Excel experience required. • Analytical skills. • Detail oriented. • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong knowledge of data, databases and data mining and manipulation, if applicable. • Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
