• The Executive Informatics Sales Specialist will be accountable for designing and implementing end-to-end informatics solutions that can streamline customer’s Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflow, and ultimately drive operational efficiency and business growth. • This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, strategic approach to solution development, and the ability to effectively communicate the value of these solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Setup the technology vision for Illumina informatics products by developing and implementing customized solutions. • Attend pre-sales activities. • Assist in the design and analysis of dry lab workflows. • Develop and implement informatics/bioinformatics software and tools at customer’s site. • Organize skill development and training plan to enhance customers, partners or Illumina colleagues’ informatics/bioinformatics skill. • Establish Illumina informatics product branding through external speech or webinar. • Provide subject matter expertise in the multi-omics domains and make broad influence. • Ensure a high level of integration with District Sales, Marketing and Service and Support team to achieve shared revenue goals. • Provide coaching to ensure entire sales specialist team deliver high quality results. • Stay updated with the latest technical trends, tools, and methodologies.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Life Science or Clinical Diagnostics industries. • Typically requires a Master’s degree; a PhD degree is preferred. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or Perl. • Recognized deep expertise in bioinformatics and multi-omics domain knowledge in genetics, oncology, or infectious diseases. • Must be able to build relationships with senior level customers. • Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, utilize both oral and written English communication skills. • Has connections with bioinformatics experts across regions. • Good command of English and Cantonese. • Willingness to conduct approximately 50% of customer visits onsite.
