• Our team is growing and we’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join us • The Senior Accountant will perform and coordinate accounting duties within the organization • Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger and accounts payables files • Assisting in the preparation of sales tax returns, assisting with audit preparations • Conducting month and year end closing processes and performing other accounting duties as assigned • An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure • Reporting to the Controller, the job responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include but are not limited to the below:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of accounting related experience (veterinary or similar field) • Public company experience a plus • 2+ years of experience as a leader of a management team of a rapidly growing business • Knowledge of GAAP; public company accounting experience preferred • Internal Controls/SOX experience a plus • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas • Experience with financial reporting requirements • Knowledge of Accounting/Finance Management System such as Sage Intacct Accounting a plus • Experience with Bill.com preferred • CPA a plus (but not required) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word) and Teams • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel
