To strengthen bonds beyond our daily virtual interactions, we host company-wide Team Weeks four times a year, bringing everyone together in person. • About This Position: We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of large-scale substation and transmission line projects in California. This position focuses on managing the construction of utility-scale infrastructure at up to 500kV, while collaborating closely with teams from Development, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Operations. Reporting to the Director of Construction Project Management, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in high-voltage projects and a strong track record of working with California utilities. This role requires deep technical knowledge of substation and transmission construction, regulatory compliance, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage substation and transmission line project management, with experience on 500kV projects. • Proven success managing high-voltage projects in California, with direct experience working with utilities on complex regulatory and technical matters. • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and interconnection processes for utility-scale projects. • Expertise in EPC contracts and transmission infrastructure, with knowledge of high-voltage equipment and systems. • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Slack. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive project success. • Willingness to travel to project sites and lead on-site operations as needed. • A note on qualifications: Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description.
