• Principal engineers follow multiple paths, some are technical leads managing people\n• Other principal engineers lead technical initiatives overseeing multi-team projects

Requirements

• A strong understanding of cloud architecture including major providers (AWS, GCP, etc)\n• Understand underlying networking and security considerations when developing deployment environments\n• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks such as IAM, Security Groups, RBAC, etc\n• Experience with Kubernetes and able to cite architected or managed deployments\n• Understanding of Kubernetes operating model and design requirements for new application deployments\n• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or Puppet
