• Invitation Homes is pioneering a new industry and needs dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic technologists to support our innovation and growth. • We are looking for dynamic individuals passionate about taking tech to the next level. • We are seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to manage a software development organization made up of multiple engineering teams. • This role is essential for translating high-level strategies into actionable plans, ensuring alignment between teams, and driving the effective implementation of our engineering roadmap. • The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of technical knowledge, leadership, and project planning to ensure that our engineering efforts are well-coordinated, successful, and impactful. • You will be at the forefront of building a culture of collaboration and team performance, ensuring that projects will drive growth and take our resident and associate experience to the next level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience • 7+ years of professional development experience, and 3+ years of recent experience managing or leading an engineering team • Experience working in agile development environment • Deep understanding of software and development engineering principles and concepts • Deep technical skills in one or more of the following areas: JavaScript development, database technologies (e.g. MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB), AWS serverless, CI/CD, Salesforce • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced work environment • Exhibit sound judgment and swift decision-making skills • Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to collaborate and build consensus with others • Knowledgeable about system design, data structures and algorithms • Experience working with distributed/scalable systems and high-volume applications • Love of technology; actively seeks continuing education of current and emerging technologies
