Description

• Provide timely, accurate support for ISC's major open-source software systems • Support primarily via email, video or audio calls • Work with experienced UNIX/LINUX system administrators or network engineers • Manage customer expectations and take on-call shifts as assigned • Reproduce problems reported by customers and track issue remediation

Requirements

• Some experience in technical support or system administration of *NIX systems (Unix/BSD/Linux) • Some experience configuring and operating BIND • Some experience working directly with customers • Ability to compile source code and build systems from tarballs • Familiarity with internet standards and protocols, especially DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP • Spoken and written English at a conversational level • Self-motivation and self-control when working from home
