Description

• Checkmate is a growing start-up organization in the restaurant-tech space. • Seeking an accomplished Ruby on Rails Fullstack developer with 7 years experience. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications. • Utilize your extensive Ruby on Rails knowledge to develop web applications. • Oversee code reviews and ensure compliance with best practices. • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions. • Stay abreast of industry trends in Ruby on Rails and React.js. • Leverage React.js experience to integrate components within applications. • Coach and mentor a team of Ruby on Rails developers. • Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development. • Proficiency in React.js with demonstrated 1 year of experience in building web applications using this technology. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. • Flexibility to work during US hours (India Night Shift hours) at least till 6 pm ET is essential for this role. • Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
