Description

• J.D. Power is looking for a senior associate in data engineering with good quantitative and analytical skills. • Focus on production outputs of established products and processes and collaborate with coworkers to understand data processing requirements and apply fundamental data engineering concepts. • Daily immersion in automotive industry data • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors • Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action • Involve basic data processing and cleaning tasks • Focus on foundational skills development in data operations • Build productive internal/external working relationships

Requirements

• Basic understanding of data cleaning and quality assurance techniques • Familiarity with SAS, SQL, or basic data manipulation in Python, PySpark and R • Exposure to basic data joining and pipeline building concepts including tools like GCP dataflow & Palantir • Knowledge of basic Big Data technologies • Basic knowledge of Excel for data processing tasks • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of statistical analysis is desired • Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment • Resilient work ethic • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience
