Description
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and scientists with expertise in statistical genetics and addiction research • Develop, design, and deploy interactive modular visualizations of complex multi-modal data and analytical results • Design elegant and robust digital experiences that facilitate the discovery process
Requirements
• Must be enrolled in a college or university program • Graduate student majoring in Computer Science with a Data Visualization emphasis • Background applying data visualization principles to complex data (systems genetics a plus) • Experience deploying visualization modules in existing software (glue would be a plus) • Familiarity with tools and techniques to drive collaborative design practices • Ability to program in R or python with intermediate or better fluency • Understanding of basic statistics (e.g. t-test, p-values) and network analysis • Exposure to college-level biology and/or systems genetics data • Curiosity about biological problems and a desire to develop systems
