Description

• The primary focus of this position will be to analyze and determine the root cause of high and low power electrical failures, electronic and battery fires; electrocutions and electric shock injuries; machinery and equipment failures, and electrical fire investigations. • The ideal candidate will be adept at writing technical reports and be a self-starter that can establish and maintain contacts, with a drive for building a business.

Requirements

• BS or Masters in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering area. Current PE desirable • CFI or CFEI is a plus. • 5+ years practical experience in the electrical engineering field • Minimum of 2 years experience in the forensic/failure analysis arena • Past litigation support, expert witness testimony skills and product safety engineering experience are desirable attributes • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing technical reports pertaining to electrical failures and Fire Investigation. • Ideal candidate possesses experience with the operation of various types of machinery, equipment and appliances, building electrical systems; automobiles and heavy equipment components and operation; as well as a wide array of other engineering experiences (e.g. failure analysis, building code familiarity, and systems testing). Past forensic experience is a plus. • Candidate must have excellent customer service, communication and project management skills. Responsibilities include field investigations, collaboration, project coordination and preparation of reports.
