Description

• Maintain high-integrity financial systems to support sound management decisions • Manage all aspects of accounts payable, client general ledger, funding requests, and balance sheet reconciliations • Lead month-end close processes and meticulous documentation • Contribute to budget and forecast creation • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, reporting, and benchmarking • Recommend and implement standardized accounting practices and internal controls • Prepare and interpret portfolio financials and Key Performance Indicators • Oversee periodic/annual audits of financial activities and control environment • Identify and implement process re-engineering initiatives • Contribute to training and development of the accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management • Proven track record in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning • Experience in team leadership and workload management • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build client relationships • Excellent presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financials to clients • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Experience with financial management software; JD Edwards knowledge an asset • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail • Experience in developing and interpreting KPIs and financial metrics • Familiarity with GAAP and relevant accounting standards • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements • Experience in implementing best practices and standardizing procedures • Ability to identify and lead process improvement initiatives • Proactive approach to taking ownership of responsibilities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
