π Social Media Manager
β’ Assist in the creation and delivery of media literacy educational experiences and resources for youth, families, and teachers. β’ Collaborate in the design of educational materials, such as videos, handouts, and infographics. β’ Support the facilitation of in-person and/or online educational workshops. β’ Conduct online research on media literacy, youth development, violence prevention, substance misuse and other health topics to inform curriculum development. β’ Conduct outreach to schools, child-care centers, and youth-serving organizations to build awareness of our educational programs and the benefits of teaching youth media literacy skills. β’ Assist in administrative and operational tasks as needed to carry out the mission of MPY.
β’ Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program β’ Work study part of financial aid package β’ Students with work study may be prioritized β’ Reliable transportation β’ Passion for youth development and education β’ Desire to work in the social sector and participate in community engagement initiatives β’ Experience working directly with youth as part of an educational, recreational, and/or mentoring program β’ Strong communication skills, both oral and written β’ Experience with creatively using social media platforms or a desire to learn β’ Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and G-suite β’ Knowledge of graphic design/media production software is a plus β’ Working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g. education, public health, nonprofit management, social entrepreneurship, psychology, marketing, film, journalism, or other relevant major)
