Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience working with Django and Django Rest Framework (DRF), building scalable, reliable APIs and backend systems • Strong knowledge of efficient system design principles, including database optimization, API performance, and architectural patterns for scalability and reliability • Solid foundation in GNU/Linux systems, shell scripting, and understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including services like GKE, CloudSQL, and Cloud Run, with a focus on deployment, scaling, and monitoring production systems • Proficiency in writing and maintaining tests (unit, integration) using frameworks like pytest or Django Test Client to ensure robust and maintainable code • Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and migrations • Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience implementing API authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT) • Effective communication and teamwork skills for working in cross-functional teams with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers • Ability to create clear, comprehensive, and consistent documentation for APIs, workflows, and system architecture
