Description

• Lead a dedicated team of 4-5 software engineers focused on the maintenance and innovation of our cutting edge trip-tracking SDK • Influence the evolution and performance of Root's mobile offerings • Engage in regular and productive performance conversations • Proactively dive into code, design reviews, and technical challenges alongside your team • Work closely with the Engineering Manager team to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering org

Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering with a focus on iOS and Android native application development • 2+ years as a people manager on software teams • Experience with Swift or Java/ Kotlin, and mobile development frameworks essential for iOS and Android app development • App development lifecycle including Play/App Store compliance policies and submissions requirements • Familiarity with React Native • Proven leadership of projects involving multiple teams across functional domains • Excellent communication skills both with engineering colleagues and senior business leaders
