📋 Description

• Help us demystify the insurance shopping experience, and make it a delightful, trusting experience • Conduct user research, define user journeys, and refine personas to better understand the insurance shopping experience and Root’s target audience • Co-create and contribute to a product vision that improves both business outcomes and customer experiences • Help build a high-performing product design team by embedding excellence and customer-centric design into our systems • Integrate product design into the development lifecycle as first-class citizens and co-owners of strategy and roadmap • Mentor and support junior designers, elevating the overall craft of the team

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of product design experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain and document how you arrive at your solutions • Ability to speak the language of product and business to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams • A systematic approach to design using design thinking frameworks and first-principles thinking • Passion for people and a deep love of your craft • Excellent facilitation and workshop skills • Fun to work with and be around • Strong sense of accountability and ownership • Interest in experimenting with AI tools to increase efficiency and creativity (preferred but not required) • Experience working in a fast-moving environment, such as a startup (preferred but not required) • Experience designing for mobile apps or mobile-first products (preferred but not required)
