• Develops and implements a strategic plan for Faith Community Initiatives & Annual Giving. • Solicits financial support through proposals or face-to-face visits with corporations, foundations, and other faith-based entities. • Communicates the impact and opportunities for involvement in KAI's work around the world. • Oversee FCI and Annual Giving departments. • Engage with national staff, missionaries, alumni, and other stakeholders to accomplish KAI’s goals. • Set measurable annual revenue goals. • Maintain a portfolio of individuals/entities with capacity to support KAI at major gifts level. • Acquire and manage new donors. • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships. • Develop and execute solicitation plans for major gifts. • Engage diverse congregations based on changing dynamics. • Present the impact and benefits of partnerships at events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, Master’s Degree preferred. • A minimum of 10 years of experience with a proven record of accomplishment in identifying, cultivating, and sustaining constituent relationships with a variety of Christian faith communities: churches, colleges and universities, campus ministries, civic organizations, and networks of affiliated organizations. • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a team supervisor/manager. • Experience in ministry, lay ministry, or missionary work, preferably in contexts of cultural diversity or vulnerable populations. • Ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and sustain constituent relationships. • Proficient in developing, directing, and executing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals to completion. • Ability to present compelling stories about our mission and potential and existing partners. • Proven understanding of and sensitivity to the unique challenges of working globally, respecting the diversity of our people and cultures. • Efficient organizational and management abilities, including ability to work independently to carry details through to completion, including proficiency in MS Office suite, CRM databases, etc. • Language proficiency in Spanish and/or French highly desired. • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with internal team members and partners (both direct reports and coworkers). • Consistent commitment to open and honest communication, demonstrating respect for all. • High level of personal and professional integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor profiles and personal information. • An understanding of the formal and organic roles of faith communities in engaging with the world around them.
