📋 Description
• Build predictive models and apply scientific computing and statistical methods. • Contribute to a worldwide dataset for exploration. • Create effective visualizations for model evaluation. • Develop software for the discovery of critical battery metals. • Collaborate with geoscientists to identify exploration targets. • Work on reducing uncertainty in predictions and guide field work phases.
🎯 Requirements
• An advanced degree in the physical sciences, engineering, computer science, or mathematics. • 4 years of post-degree work experience as a data scientist or data engineer. • Experience with Python’s data science packages and general software engineering practices. • Familiarity with collaborative software development and software engineering best practices. • Experience building, evaluating, and interpreting predictive models. • Broad skills in and knowledge of applied statistics. • Substantial understanding of machine learning algorithms. • Excitement about joining a fast-growing early-stage company. • Exceptional curiosity and eagerness to learn. • Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks effectively. • Experience creating machine learning models on geospatial data is helpful but not required. • Knowledge of geostatistics, image processing, or distributed computing applications is a plus.
