• Lead and develop teams for transmission and substation projects • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Ensure client satisfaction and high-quality work • Manage day-to-day operations of engineering and design teams • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior staff • Develop design tools, processes, and standards • Represent Leidos at technical conferences and business development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university • 10+ years of relevant experience in utility engineering and civil and structural engineering or Master's degree with 8 years of experience • Professional Engineer (PE) certification • Experience leading and collaborating with construction contractors and material procurement teams on Design-Build or Engineer-Procure-Construction style contracts • Experience as a civil and/or structural engineer leading projects and performing QC reviews • Proposal and pricing creation and understanding of risk management • Business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, reliability, and sound judgment • Expertise with staff training/mentorship • Ability to interact with customer representatives from the executive level to field and craft services • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time • PMP Certification is preferred but not required • Active membership in national engineering societies and work-groups preferred
