•Work with the program teams, Line leadership, and CTO organization to identify software related technology and solution roadmaps to establish Leidos as a provider of choice for mission software across the National Security domain. •Establish NSS best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches for all aspects of software development across the Sector. •Define and proactively evolve the “NSS Way” of software development that is applied to all programs and internal development efforts within the Sector. •Ensure all software related proposals and programs are following the defined approaches or have documented and approved tailoring plans. •Define a set of core software key performance indicators that will be required on all development activities. •Support across business lines and programs to identify how programs can be strengthened with application of technology and/or innovation. •Provide proposal and capture support as requested by capture teams.

Requirements

•Master’s degree or Ph.D. and 15 years of experience in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field - Will consider experience in lieu of the degree requirements. •Ability to gain a security clearance for a position of trust within the US government. •Recent experience within the National Security domain (Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Department of Defense) with an understanding of those missions and operating environments. •Experience supporting or leading proposal activities for National Security customers. •Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact at multiple levels of the organization from program teams to Sector leadership. •Ability to mentor, lead, and promote talent.
