• As the Senior Manager of Security Engineering at Life360, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the systems, infrastructure, and data that power our mission to keep families connected and protected. • This leadership position is instrumental in developing and executing strategies that ensure our platform's security at scale, enabling millions of users to trust us with their most important moments. • You will lead a dynamic team of skilled security engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that emphasizes technical excellence and proactive problem-solving. • By implementing cutting-edge security measures, managing risk, and driving compliance, you’ll ensure that Life360’s infrastructure and services remain resilient against emerging threats. • Your contributions will directly support the team’s success by building a culture of security across the organization, enabling faster, safer product development, and instilling confidence in our users and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in security engineering and people management • Extensive Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing security engineering teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of security architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern development practices. • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, including experience with threat modeling and incident response planning. • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST. • Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work cross-functionally, effectively communicate complex technical concepts, and align security objectives with business goals. • Proactive Problem-Solving: A track record of implementing innovative security solutions and staying ahead of evolving threats. • Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience); relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
