• The Retail Development Project Manager is the point person for Retail Construction Projects, including New Stores, Relocations and Remodels. • They are responsible for coordinating all facets of the construction process, from start to finish ensuring quality construction, on budget and on schedule. • Work closely and coordinate project scope with Design Team and various consultants. • Partner with Leasing, Merchandising & Retail Teams in development of projects. • Negotiate fees and other associated costs. • Produce purchase orders for owner-supplied items and coordinate dates of delivery. • Ensure that bid packages are complete. • Maintain constant dialogue with supervisors regarding status and progress of projects. • Verify payments to vendors and contractors and negotiate any proposed change orders.
• BA required (Preferred in Construction Management). • 5+ years of Construction Project Management (preferably in high-end retail). • Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Project. • A general knowledge of standard operating procedures in regard to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. • Familiarity with both UNION and Non-UNION based vendors, contractors, and Mall Personnel (Simon, Macerich, GGP, Taubman, etc.). • Ability to read architectural plans and schematic drawings. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to interact well with vendors, contractors and corporate Team members. • Ability to work well under pressure & handle multiple projects while maintaining deadlines.
