📋 Description

• Enhance and maintain the Java software, converting scientific programming into well-structured, maintainable, and error-free Java code. • Implement new features, including Conditional Bias Penalized Regression (CBPR), freezing level integration, and updates. • Improve code structure, inheritance usage, and overall maintainability. • Read and understand Python and R code, as scripts involve these languages. • Update and maintain user manuals and configuration guides. • Support IT infrastructure, including Linux-based virtual machines, storage management, and containerized environments. • Assist in debugging configurations.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Java, particularly in legacy systems and monolithic architectures. • Strong understanding of inheritance and object-oriented design principles. • Experience navigating complex, unstructured codebases. • Proficiency with Linux/UNIX environments and command-line tools. • Some experience with DevOps, including containerization (Docker, Podman preferred), scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. • Basic understanding of math/statistics/probability concepts for translating scientific models into code. • Familiarity with Python (3+ years); ability to read R code is a plus. • Ability to debug large-scale applications and improve code quality.
