📋 Description

• Our client is an Australian company specializing in advertising services. • They offer a one-stop-shop approach that includes graphic design, printing, and distribution of materials such as flyers, leaflets, brochures, and banners. • Their experienced team handles every aspect of advertising campaigns, ensuring quality and efficiency. • This is a great opportunity to be part of a small fast-paced team producing high-quality work, often for large well-known brands, Government and Corporate, branding, or promotional campaigns. • Our client is looking for a well-rounded Pre-Press Operator. • The Pre-Press Operator is responsible for preparing digital and offset files for printing, ensuring high-quality output by managing and troubleshooting pre-press processes. • Duties and Responsibilities: • Artwork: 35% • Flight checking • Amending files • Graphic Design • Liaise with sales/client on briefs • Proofing • Prepress: 35% • Preparing file for printing • Amending files for printing • Liaise with printer for jobs • Engage outsource supplier • Admin: 20% • Monitoring Email boxes • Follow Up • Huddles • Continued Learning: 10% • Referring to knowledge base / previous orders for specific jobs ie outsource • Maintenance: 5% (this is ad hoc and may only occur 1-2 times a year) • Updating programs when required

🎯 Requirements

• Atleast 5 years of pre-press experience in a print or packaging companies • Works well with a team or as an individual and displays initiative • Experience within a sheetfed or digital print organization will have a distinct advantage • However, candidates from a wide format or packaging background should also apply • Knowledgeable with ALL of the following programs: Adobe Acrobat, Pitstop, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator • Solid exposure outputting to Offset Printing Presses, Digital Presses, and wide-format inkjet devices. • Experience in Prinect Cockpit and Signa would be an advantage but not necessary (training is available)
