• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Segregation Engineer to join our team. • Conduct detailed cost segregation studies on commercial and residential properties. • Analyze property components and their costs to determine appropriate classifications for tax reporting. • Collaborate with clients, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements. • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, methodologies, and recommendations for depreciation classifications. • Utilize specialized software and tools to facilitate cost analysis and reporting. • Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations impacting cost segregation. • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and team members as necessary. • Participate in client meetings to explain findings and strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. • 2 years of experience in cost segregation or a related area. • Strong understanding of tax regulations, particularly regarding depreciation. • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
