Description

• Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Supervisor is responsible for enforcing compliance policies and procedures in order to safeguard the operational integrity of Maverick and its customers. • The Compliance Supervisor serves as first level of management in support of Compliance teams objectives. • Respond to compliance related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. • Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend appropriate corrective actions. • Assist Risk Department personnel to investigate abnormal processing patterns and recommend appropriate mitigation. • Review of merchant activity for increased credit risk, transactional variations, dispute activity, and fraud patterns. • Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that could impact the organization’s compliance obligations. • Serves as a primary supervisor and subject matter expert, providing guidance on escalated compliance issues • Assisting with projects related to Compliance / Risk Management / Loss Prevention and other duties as assigned by the AVP Risk, VP Risk and COO. • Monitor and report on compliance related activities and trends to senior management. • Assisting training of new and existing employees as assigned. • Supporting specialized projects on an as-needed basis as directed by Executive team.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • Degree a plus • 5-10 years prior experience in Risk Management within acquiring industry • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including intermediate Excel applications • Experience with various Risk Management tools including, without limitation, TSYS, Merlink, E-connections, G2, Legit Script, MasterCard Connect, etc. • Understanding of Card Brand rules and regulations • Understanding of various and complex verticals and associated risk • Possesses strong analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail • Ability to work autonomously while producing a high output of quality work • Possesses a high degree of trustworthiness and ethical behavior of an individual with consideration for the knowledge one has of the impact and consequences when deciding or taking action.
