Description

• The Sr. Manager, Financial Operations Invoicing will have a comprehensive understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition, sales tax, and international tax requirements, including VAT and Canadian PST/GST. • This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. • You will work closely with multiple departments, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvements to business processes. • Contract and Invoicing Management: Review and interpret contractual language to ensure accurate invoicing and adherence to customer terms. • Revenue Recognition & Tax Compliance: Apply knowledge of revenue recognition principles and sales tax exemptions, as well as international tax regulations like VAT and PST/GST. • Financial System Transition: Support and manage financial system transitions, with a preference for experience in SAP/S4 Hana. • Multi-department Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams to align efforts and drive projects towards common goals. • Project Management: Oversee and manage various projects, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are effectively utilized. • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and time management. • Audit & Compliance: Ensure compliance with audit requirements, including security audits, ISO 9000 standards, and separation of duties. • Interact with external auditors as needed. • Policy Development: Create and update policies and procedures to maintain regulatory and operational efficiency. • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide team members, providing coaching and operationalizing best practices across the revenue/order-to-cash cycle. • VMS/MSP & Billing Portals: Manage vendor management systems (VMS), managed services provider (MSP) platforms, and customer billing portals such as Ariba, Coupa, and Tungsten. • International Billing: Manage international billing processes, with specific experience in Canada.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred. • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in billing, AR, and financial systems. • Experience in the staffing industry is highly desirable. • Familiarity with the independent workforce world, managed services provider (MSP) models, and vendor management systems (VMS) is highly desirable. • Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of Zen Desk, Jira, Job Diva, and SAP/S4 Hana are advantageous. • Deep understanding of audit processes, separation of duties, and compliance with ISO 9000 standards. • Proficiency in Business Management software. • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. • Superb recordkeeping, time management, and organizational skills. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
