📋 Description
• Seeking a Staff Attorney focused on serving Native American survivors of domestic violence in Northern Michigan. • Responsible for working with clients on civil cases in both State and Tribal Court. • Fully remote position with client preference for those residing in Northern Michigan. • Part of a statewide program providing legal representation and advocacy to victims of crime.
🎯 Requirements
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan, qualified to be admitted by waiver, or able to take the next Michigan bar exam. • Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income individuals and underserved populations through lived or learned experience. • Proficient with major software and web services including Word, Excel, G Suite. • Must have access to a reliable internet connection. • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation for client meetings, court hearings, and visiting Tribal Advocates.
