β’ The Mental Health Therapist must be NJ certified and will work directly with clientele, his/her family, and other Millhill staff members to assist in providing the most appropriate course of treatment. β’ This is a per diem position for an outpatient therapist with clinical experience with both youth and adults ranging from 4-65 years old reporting to the Program Manager. β’ Provide weekly individual and/or family tele-therapy counseling for a minimum of five clients β’ Create an environment in which the family feels part of the team and knows the importance of their input, if applicable. β’ Meet regularly for individual, group, and team supervision as needed and set forth by the Director of Behavioral Health. β’ Attend staff meetings and trainings, as necessary. β’ Discuss all cases as part of supervision in a weekly format. β’ Follow all ethical standards set forth by state licensing board that issues your license. β’ Follow standards/guidelines set forth by HIPAA and protect all client PHI. β’ Complete all documentation required in a timely manner, including but not limited to activity logs, progress notes, intake paperwork, intake assessments, termination summaries, standardized assessment, and/or treatment plans β’ Be an active part of your performance evaluations.
β’ Minimum of a masters degree in a counseling or related discipline (must be a licensed social worker if possessing a masters in social work). β’ Bi-lingual Spanish preferred β’ Familiarity with youth populations ranging from 4-21 years old & with contacting the DCP&P hotline if abuse/neglect is reported/suspected. β’ Electronic health record knowledge and application will be required for all documentation. Electronic health record training is provided as part of the orientation process for the position. β’ Familiarity with various theoretical orientations conducive to providing progress with the local, urban population. β’ Familiarity with the wellness and recovery approach toward emotional strength & healing. β’ Familiarity with the Quality of Life Inventory assessment for evaluating adults ranging from 21-65 years old. β’ Familiarity with the C.A.F.A.S assessment in order to formally evaluate youth along 8 specific life domains. β’ Familiarity with tele-counseling and related audio & visual applications/software to implement effective tele-services. Tele-service training is provided as part of the orientation process for this position.
β’ Offered as a per diem position, minimum of 5 hours per week, preferably a candidate who is willing to come into the office once weekly to meet clients requesting in-person meetings β’ Rate commensurate with experience β’ Training opportunities to earn CEUs β’ Weekly certified clinical supervision provided (LAC, LSW, LCSW)
