📋 Description

• Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing for Canadian employees (hourly and salaried) using Rippling and ADP WorkForce Now (WFN) • Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursements, tax withholdings, and deductions • Administer payroll taxes, deductions, direct deposits, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with the Ministry of Finance, CRA and provincial laws. • Stay current on National and Provincial payroll laws, implementing changes as needed • Prepare timely termination packages (ROEs), year-end employee tax slips and forms (T4s, T2200), and submit government filings • Oversee payroll audits, ensuring internal controls and compliance • Preparation of journal entries, benefit reconciliations and working papers for applicable accounts, including variance analysis • Lead payroll system optimization and implementation to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field • PCP or CPM certification • 5+ years experience with full cycle, end to end payroll processing • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or Rippling payroll applications is considered an asset • Demonstrated understanding of payroll principles, practices, legislations and procedures • Good data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel • Excellent decision making, problem-solving and analytical skills • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality • Detail oriented and strong sense of accountability in meeting committed deadlines • Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite would be an asset
