Description

• Responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organization. • Manage and analyze complex and high volumes of data and be deadline oriented. • Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting. • Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning. • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards. • Establish and maintain financial controls within the accounting department. • Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis. • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. • Provide support to management in commercial and financial matters. • Create reports that help senior leadership understand company financials. • Review accounts receivable/accounts payable systems and make recommendations for improvements. • Conduct basic bookkeeping and provide periodic reporting on project financial metrics. • Assist in managing the company's financial activities, including financial reporting and budgeting. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com. • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to support decision-making. • Collaborate on the budgeting process. • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and financial analysis. • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve efficiency. • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into cost management and performance metrics. • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and overall company objectives. • Train and develop existing and new team members of the finance department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field. • Experience with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com. • Experience in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and M&A activities. • Controllers must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. • Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). • Requires knowledge of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. • 7+ years work experience in accounting or a related field. • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations. • Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking. • Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting. • Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills. • Proven experience in financial project management. • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel, and spreadsheet. • Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand. • Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting. • Deep understanding of finance. • Candidates with master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA) is a plus.
