Description

• We’re an ambitious, remote-first travel scale-up, eager to grow our team. • We are looking for a versatile, collaborative, experienced and ambitious growth product manager to help us go to the next level as we rapidly expand into new countries and audiences. • You’ll be part of a dynamic micro-team with a clear focus, bringing together engineering, product management, and design to work towards shared goals. • You and your dedicated “two-pizza” team will own the “pre-booking” experience for at least the next year. • Your responsibility will be to make sure that customers who come to our site find everything they need to make a decision to book with us and travel on one of our life-changing adventures. • On the whole our first-time customers go through a considered purchase journey that resembles B2B more than e-commerce, all while driven by an increasingly strong emotional connection to our adventures and fellow customers. • This means that we need to help them with: Inspiration – help them find and fall in love with a shortlist of trips from among 200+ unique adventures. • Information – give them what they need to choose one trip. • Reassurance – help them get comfortable with all the details and logistics beyond the trip itself. • Giving them this information is the best way to make sure they are entirely prepared before departure; have the best possible experience while on the trip; and after returning, that they quickly discover and book their next adventure with us. • We have had some success this year with helping customers progress on this journey through email and other content journeys, and developing this further will be a large part of your role.

Requirements

• Clear, demonstrable and sophisticated understanding and hands-on experience of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery • A combination of B2B and B2C experience highly desired • 7+ years working on technology-powered products as a product manager • Provable ability to: • Learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, operations, finance, sales, or marketing etc • Figure out creative solutions to hard problems with many constraints • Use sound judgement to assess risks • Lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative • Engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Benefits

• An entrepreneurial and creative environment where great ideas are actively encouraged, and taking responsibility for them is expected • The warm fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing you are making a huge difference to small independent businesses, local economies and communities • 38 days holiday per year (inclusive of public holidays) - to be used when you like • Annual company performance-based bonus • Flexible hours set up (40 hours p/w for full time roles), and a fully remote company • Company-wide, adventurous meet-ups • Experience what we do: everyone goes on a free MBA trip within their first year • A £500 annual travel voucher to spend on an MBA trip/s • 30% Employee discount, plus 15% friends and family discount for MBA trips • Generous Pension scheme (UK employees only) • Free access to private GP, and unlimited mental health support and counselling via our partner at BHSF. • Budget to set up a remote working space and access to co-working spaces • Supportive Maternity and Paternity Pay: we offer 16 weeks full pay if you’re the primary caregiver & 4 weeks full pay if you’re the secondary caregiver.
