Description

• Murmuration is a nonprofit organization that amplifies the power of civic engagement. • Senior Data Scientist will work on diverse datasets analyzing data, building pipelines, and deriving insights. • Role includes leading data science projects, developing campaign data science models, and mentoring junior data scientists.

Requirements

• 4+ years of work experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent role producing models and analytics for business applications. • Deep understanding of advanced data science techniques, machine learning algorithms, and optimization methods. • Experience building and deploying machine learning models. • Proficiency in data engineering and data pipelines. • Skill in using advanced data visualization to effectively communicate insights and tell compelling stories with data. • Mastery of programming languages (Python and SQL), version control (Git), and the ability to learn and apply new data science tools and techniques efficiently. • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a bias for rapid prototyping and iteration. • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and guide junior team members in their technical growth and development. • Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
