Description

• The Senior Paralegal (Corporate Services & Real Estate) provides transactional support for matters related to the Company’s real estate portfolio and Merger and Acquisition (M&A) acquisitions and dispositions. • Provides support and expertise in all industrial and commercial real estate matters, including purchases and sales, leasing and easements. • Prepares draft nondisclosure agreements, letters of intent and lease renewal notices and amendments. • Organizes and participates in deal team meetings from inception to closing. • Orders and reviews title and survey due diligence and works with attorneys to address requirements and issues. • Prepares closing checklists, monitors critical dates and updates real estate transaction system. • Coordinates and manages the closing process, including the preparation of settlement statements and ensuring all documents are executed and delivered. • Ensures documentation is consistent with transaction approvals. • Supports M&A acquisition and disposition closings, including coordinating wires with internal and external parties. • Supports M&A transaction holdbacks. • Compiles data and prepares regular reports. • Maintains and organizes transaction deal folders. • Supports improvements of business processes and strategic initiatives. • Oversees outside law firm billing. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal (required). • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word (required). • Experience with real estate, corporate and legal billing IT systems. • Detail-oriented, highly organized. • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of diverse real estate transactions in a fast-paced environment. • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently, and as part of a team. • Outstanding legal drafting and written and oral communication skills (internal and external parties). • Excellent project management and research skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Collaborative, cross-functional professional. • Excellent judgment. • High degree of integrity.
