📋 Description

• Insurance Payment Poster is a remote role responsible for accurately posting payments and transactions to the billing system for various payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans. • This position requires a high level of attention to detail while maintaining company productivity standards for managing payment postings, adjustments, and correspondence. • Ensure proper billing processes are followed. • Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers to post appropriate payment, denial, and remark codes. • Reconcile cash batch supporting department cash control policies and procedures. • Complete batch posting with 98% accuracy. • Identify incomplete information necessary to post remittance, contact manager to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data. • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form. • Must successfully complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedure compliance training and security training within the first 30 days of hire. • Must maintain “good standing” status on Natera training requirements. • Assist with external and internal audits. • Assist with new hire training and refresher training. • Help maintain and update SOP’s and job aides. • Other duties as assigned by Management.

🎯 Requirements

• Required- High School Diploma- GED • 2 + years’ experience in healthcare insurance billing, knowledge of third party insurance in regard to plan types (HMO/PPO/POS and Indemnity). • 1 year of Accounting experience. • Preferred Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Healthcare, Marketing, or Business related field.
