Description

• Oversee and manage the entire payroll function, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Participate in and improve processes for our semi-monthly payrolls, off-cycle payrolls, and special payrolls. • Be the primary payroll resource for employees, direct reports, and other stakeholders within Ncontracts. • Prepare payroll related journal entries and reconciliations. • Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal and external audits. • Assist with month-end close tasks and complete special projects as assigned. • Assist with year-end reporting and preparation of annual tax forms. • Assist with year-end audit requests related to payroll.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources or another related field. • 5 years of experience managing payroll or similar accounting role. • 3-5 years’ multi-state payroll processing, HRIS administration and configuration experience. • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processes, FLSA laws, payroll taxes, and payroll related compliance. • Experience in handling payroll audits, inspections and compliance assessments. • Proficiency in Microsoft office, and intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel skills • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication. • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy. • Ability to handle multiple tasks with capability to prioritize and are highly organized.
