• Collaborate effectively with organizational support to address loan level compliance-related concerns and provide guidance on necessary resolutions • Stay current with changes in mortgage laws and regulations and Meridian Link LOS updates and offer training to the team to ensure alignment with compliance requirements • Coordinate consolidated and efficient reporting including federal and state reporting to include verification, of compliance and risk functions to the business • Act as a subject matter expert and compliance liaison for third parties on the implementation of consumer laws and regulations as well as industry best practices • Assist in management of policies and procedures and disclosures related to compliance including assessing for new and current regulatory requirements and implementing & remediating gaps in existing policies, procedures and disclosures • Support external compliance examinations, routine licensing and auditing and reporting and external audits • Assist with the review of all company forms, disclosures, consumer facing publications and advertisements • Conduct routine communication with stakeholders to gather, track and assess compliance and risk information • Identify opportunities to reduce operational, financial, legal and regulatory risk
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred) • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage compliance, with a solid grasp of federal and state mortgage regulations • Proficiency in utilizing the Meridian Link Mortgage LOS or similar mortgage origination software • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities • Problem solver with ability to navigate organizational complexities. • Ability to work with little to no supervision whole performing duties • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous and changing priorities • Must be capable of exercising the highest level of discretion on both external and internal confidential matters • Any mortgage compliance certification is a plus
