Description

β€’ As a Staff Platform Software Engineer at NMI, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our technology platform. β€’ You will be responsible for collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), product engineering groups, and guiding the overall software architecture. β€’ This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of software development, system reliability, and a proven track record of delivering scalable and robust platforms. β€’ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SRE, product engineering, and other stakeholders, to understand requirements and design solutions that meet business needs. β€’ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. β€’ Drive the development and evolution of the platform architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. β€’ Lead the design and development of critical components of the platform, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code. β€’ Work closely with SRE teams to ensure the platform's reliability, availability, and performance meet or exceed defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Requirements

β€’ Kubernetes (K8s): Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes. β€’ CI/CD Pipelines: Proficiency in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines. β€’ API Gateway: Expertise in designing and implementing API gateways for managing and securing APIs. β€’ Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. β€’ Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization technologies, especially Docker. β€’ Programming Languages: Strong programming skills with a background in application development β€’ Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. β€’ Collaboration and Documentation: Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. β€’ Security: Understanding of security best practices for containerized applications. β€’ Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
