📋 Description
• Collaborating closely with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources. • Designing, developing, and owning data pipelines that power analytics for business, research, and product teams. • Developing data models to deliver business intelligence to stakeholders across the company under a self-service analytics model. • Implementing and promoting data engineering best practices, including testing, incremental modeling, documentation, and data snapshots. • Working in a cross-functional, distributed team environment where your self-starting personality will thrive.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field • 3+ years experience in a data-focused engineering role • Advanced working knowledge of relational databases and cloud-based analytical data warehouses • Demonstrated expertise in SQL query design and optimization • Experience developing and maintaining custom data integrations • Experience with DBT, including testing, documentation, macros, and operations • Experience with cloud services and products • Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby • Obsessive attention to detail to catch bugs, resolve edge cases, and perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes. • Effective communication and organizational skills
