🎯 Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus. • Professional Experience: • 3+ years experience in data platform implementation, use, and management • 5+ total years experience in engineering or technical operations • Technical Proficiency: • Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling • SQL and relational database expert • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript • Software Engineering Skills: • Experience with cloud providers and cloud-native technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with version control systems like Git • Additional Skills (advantageous but not required): • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards as they relate to the DoD • Experience with data analytics and visualization • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts • Familiarity with big data and distributed systems technologies • Soft Skills: • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Bias towards action with strong problem-solving abilities • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Ability to proactively investigate and define stakeholder needs and drive solutions • Design thinking approach to problem-solving and iterative development • Provide technical support and guidance to team members • Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends
