📋 Description

• The Financial Benefits Analyst supports all aspects of financial analysis related to clients’ group benefits programs • Works closely and collaboratively with other members of the financial support team • Provides support to Account Managers and Benefits Consultants • Drafts accurate market exhibits for quarterly and annual meetings • Assists Benefits Consultant with carrier negotiation process • Drafts and reviews client utilization reports using various carrier reporting methods • Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for plan design and product changes • Analyzes industry benchmarks and drafts information for the client • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with carrier partners • Acts as lead on RFP process during annual marketing cycle • Creates and maintains annual rate/benefit proposal for select clients • Runs various scenarios for clients using various models • Maintains accurate, current, organized, and complete market information in internal databases • Assists team and client as necessary with special projects • Act as a mentor for Analysts

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to analyze data and recognize analytical patterns • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to effectively handle multiple and changing client priorities and deadlines • Must be self-motivated, flexible, and disciplined • Ability to coach, mentor, and guide team member • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance Math, Accounting, or related field preferred • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products • Intermediate to advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel • Experience in the healthcare industry working for group insurance carrier, broker, or consultant preferred • Knowledge of group insurance including medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life, and disability products strongly preferred • Experience with database application a plus
